The UK and Swiss governments have agreed a deal that will allow British business travellers to continue travelling freely to the Alpine nation after the Brexit transition period ends on 31 December.

This agreement is particularly important, and ensures Brits who make regular business trips to Switzerland, will be able to do so without the need for a work permit when Britain formally leaves the bloc at the end of the month. The agreement will facilitate and simplify Swiss-UK work and business activities by eliminating the cost and time associated with applying for a work visa in either country.

An estimated 383,000 Britons make regular trips to Switzerland annually for business, and this agreement will allow qualified UK professionals and service workers to travel freely between countries for work, authorised for up to 90 days per year. This provides an uninterrupted baseline for UK professionals to continue to conduct business in Switzerland in 2021.  Switzerland is the UK’s fourth biggest trading partner, accounting for 3.3 per cent of total British trade, which makes continued relations between the two countries, extremely important, especially for those combining business and pleasure in Davos.

This agreement will come as good news to those looking to purchase a Residence at the Hard Rock Hotel Davos, as it reflects the Swiss government’s support to ensure those travelling for business; can continue to enjoy the lifestyle in Davos between work commitments.

Overseas buyers interested in purchasing a second home in Switzerland to accommodate regular business travel, can call the Residences their home. With apartments available to purchase in the Main Building and Building B, buyers can rely on the Hard Rock Hotel team to make the process easy and stress free, including a trial before you buy experience.

Each apartment has been carefully planned and designed to maximise natural light, in a calming yet homely environment.
